U.S. carrier leads warships in biggest Japan defense war game - Canadian Navy participates

The right move was two supply ships. One for the Pacific Ocean and one for the Atlantic Ocean.

Davie proposed the MV Obelix for that exact purpose, same price, same contract... Ottawa rejected it... :(

The best thing about the Davie deal is that once the "official" supply ships are launched by Seaspan and Irving, the Asterix is not going to end costing anything since its lease contract will be over.

Of course, Ottawa could decide to buy Asterix at the end of the lease so Canada has 3 supply ships or Federal Fleet (Asterix owner) might just lease it to another Navy in need after sensitive military equipment is pruned by the Canadian Navy.
