U.S. Court: Mass Surveillance Program Exposed By Snowden Was Illegal

He did far more than just expose the program. He stole other info relevant to nat security to use as bartering leverage when he fled the US. Personally, not a fan of Snowden for this reason. If he just went public on the program and faced the courts, I would respect what he did. Instead, he turned tail, trading irrelevant (as it pertained to the PRISM program) US secrets to not face and stand by his actions. If he felt strongly enough against the programs to be a whistleblower, see the problem fixed through the avenues that we made exactly for this reason. Don’t ditch and complain about it from your Russian residence paid for by US national security secrets.
