U.S. Declares Texas Grid Emergency in Arctic Blast

How soon can we cut the paperwork on their secession? They take 1.50 from the treasury for every $1.00 they pay in, and yet can’t keep the power on and are always bitching.

As an escapee from south with similarly horrendous politics, I understand the sentiment of wanting to just break away from states like Texas. We have to remember, though, that there are a LOT of people in Texas and a sizable percentage of them did not vote for or support the clowns that enabled the so called leaders of the state. The way it's been handled is embarrassing and catastrophic and we have to have empathy even when we also kinda just went to say good riddance to those who are responsible. Sorry for the rambling, but I've been grappling with 30+ years of hating growing up in the south and now that I'm where I want to live, I'm trying to not wish "the south would just secede," but that's not right or fair to millions of people who had nothing to do with my experience growing up; it's just my hurt feelings and anger.
