U.S. Jewish groups strike back at Rashida Tlaib: 'Tell us more about dual-loyalty'

This sub scares me sometimes. I was born Jewish but didn't meet another jew until I went to college because of where I grew up.

Anti-human rights comments like the above that so astoundingly lack self awareness baffle me.

I guess in my mind I always idealized the Jewish community as being above the bigoted hardships I faced as a kid and teen, but the posters logic is exactly what used to be said to me growing up-- that I, someone so totally disconnected from the Jewish community, was somehow responsible for X Y and Z, all because my curly hair and pointy nose.

I imagine there are many Muslim kids growing up as the only brown kid in school, and I imagine many if not most of them were born in America and identify as American in every way, and only feel confusion and sadness when they're grouped and attacked with bigotry.

Shame on any Jew who thinks this way. Too many of your own face too many hardships for you to pull the same punches. An absolute and total shame.
