U.S. and Mexico have Reached a Trade Deal, paving the way toward Replacing NAFTA

Until Trump came along. Now it's a draw at best.

No. Absolutely not. They are way worse. I'm not even going to entertain that.

As opposed to Trump's unserious, schizophrenic attempts at diplomacy? If you were the leader of a country, would you place your fate in his hands?

I dunno, Eastern Europe does it and they're doing just fine right now. The United States is the right team to be on. Yes, even with Trump at the head.

Why? Kim is obviously far more intelligent and serious than Trump.

And also a murderer and a dictator and a nuclear proliferator and a million horrible things that make him a way worse person than Trump. I don't even agree with that. He's not smart. But to suggest he has any sort of moral high ground is completely ass-backwards.

But approaching this from Kim's perspective, why would he ever see things Trump's way?

He probably wouldn't, but it's worth a shot. We didn't give up anything.

You act like Trump really extended a hand and was willing to strike a deal amenable to both sides here. Instead he threatened repeatedly to kill them all and then demanded they give up their nukes for nothing concrete in return.

Which is pretty much the national line. North Korea shouldn't get treats for building nuclear weapons. It's an evil thing they did and they should be forced, to the best of our abilities, to abandon them.
