U.S. threatens sanctions unless Turkey releases American pastor

The only people that would believe that these people were "spies" are retarted Erdogan trolls. I actually served my military service where these people were caught, I have gone on patrol many times in that forest and I can tell you two things from my experience.

  1. It is extremely easy to get lost in that forest in fog conditions. There are no markings and you can easily get on the wrong path and cross the borderline. It happens from time to time and it's usually resolved fairly swiftly. The relationship between the Greek and Turkish soldiers and officers there was quite amicable. Everybody understood that it is a special place were you have to take extra care.

  2. Both sides know exactly what the other side has in terms of materiel and troop levels. There is no operational justification to send in two guys armed with no special technology or training. If they really wanted to to do espionage they would have sent in special forces and you would have never found out, but still, as I said, it would be of no practical use. To claim that these two people were spies is beyond laughable.

Look everybody understands that you're here to post your propaganda for your dear leader Erdogan but the truth remains. When Turks illegally crossed into Greece in two occasions since the Greek soldiers were caught, in both occasions they were before a judge within 48 hours, they were found guilty for illegal entry, they were awarded suspended sentences and they were back with their families straight away. This is the way that compassionate, civilized, European countries where there is rule of law behave. Unfortunately, that is too much to ask from Turkey which has decided to start behaving like Iran circa 1979.
