U.S. tops 13 million COVID-19 cases as experts fear holiday "surge upon surge upon surge"

My in-laws work at a hospital and they have reached the point where they’re out of ventilators and have to decide who gets one.

So - I have a feeling over the Xmas holiday it’s going to start looking a lot like Italy at its worst here - especially with all the people who put their personal feels over the ‘reals’ of this being a highly contagious virus that could kill them or their loved ones.

So frustrating. I feel bad that Biden has to trudge through this shit show that could have been prevented to some degree if we had made a stronger effort to ensure everyone could stay home for a period of time without their livelihood being lost.
