Article might be pay-walled, but the gist is the Trump Administration is considering banning ALL 92 million communist party members from entering the US.

Such a move would be unprecedented and plunge relationship between both countries into toxic levels. Besides damaging the economic relationship since most of these members come into the US for businesses, this move will end any slight chance of cooperation between both countries and lead to increase confrontation.

China has reacted sourly to this.

Their Foreign Affairs spokeperson called the possible move by the Trump administration “very pathetic.”

“The United States, as the most powerful country, what has it left? What kind of impression does it want to leave the world? We hope that the United States will stop doing such things that do not respect the basic norms of international relations.”

The U.S. threat alone could keep many from coming to the States and do more to push business conferences and other events that include Americans and Chinese to other countries — like Canada.
