Is UCalgary experiencing grade inflation?

Although there isn’t a huge difference overall, I noted that 23.8% of grades awarded were A+ or A in 2018/19 for undergraduate courses; this was 16.3% in 2010/11 (a jump of 7.5%)!!

Is grade inflation a concern for the admin at the UofC—e.g. Have your grades ever been lowered because the department considered grades too high?

Disclosure: I do not go to the UofC, but I am interested in grading and grading practices, because my Uni has extremely variable grading between profs and departments and basically no rules.
