Uefa Stadium has just been Ubiquitized

This is sort of an obsession of mine. Any convention or sporting event I go to, I'm always trying to figure out the client/AP ratio.

I think for sporting events, a ratio like this is fine, because actual usage is very low. Most people are focused on the game, or the in-house entertainment between innings or during commercial breaks or timeouts.

When they do use their phones, its a quick refresh of Social Media timelines, or email. I think uploading pictures to SM is the biggest bandwidth and contention event on wireless for these venues.

I've been on floors of conventions where the ratio had to be 300/1 at least. The wireless experience is of course slow and laggy, and sometimes requires multiple tries. But it's also totally expected, and, in a way, enforces everyone to only do "reasonable things" on the free WiFi you are providing. They can always try switching to their 4g cell network if they want to watch YouTube at that moment.
