I don’t disagree with you. Unfortunately, today’s political environment is polarizing. I've been around for a few years, I remember the George Wallace campaign.
Supporters of Wallace were similar to Trump supporters. They were rabid, vocal, single-minded and would push their agenda.
Does this sound familiar?

Having posted and commented in Politics, the agenda is left-leaning. Once I made the error of commenting about Medicare for all, myself being on Medicare I thought I might offer a word of caution. I was torn up.
Medicare can be very expensive. I was attacked as if I were Blue Cross/Blue Shield. My thoughts were of everyone should have affordable health care. However, be careful about what you ask for, especially if the government were to be involved.
I've lost friends, and don’t talk to family, once they find I don’t support Trump. It isn’t even because of a heated debate, I’m shut out.
With every breath I take, I’ll do whatever I can to have Trump defeated.
Are Sander’s supporters similar to Trump supporters as in their convictions? Yea. I’m sure you have been on Quora, there you will find the Trump supporters in a ’Space’ they don’t listen to reason.
Although I may not like the Democratic nominee, I will vote for who is selected.
I just want the elected official to place the country first, not their agenda.
