I uhh, ok

Well at least in words you are then consistent with a Rawlsian philosopher. That is to say you would actually really do press that button and not just say on reddit that you do it, but backtrack in the heat of the moment if the situation were real. But that was just one of the many thought experiments of moral philosophy. But again, that's not science. It was merely an example.

So you knew trees, bacteria, etc. are alive but you wrote in caps that a fetus is not alive. Peculiar. A fetus is very much alive, just like the aforementioned organisms so please do make use of that "rather good education" a bit more. There are clearly a lot of gaps in it.

How can you be a good parent to children that you would consider to kill if they are a financial burden to you? How are you not a murderer and an abuser for killing that which is your own child because it's financially convenient for you? Hyperbolically disguising it as some kind of "mercy" wherein the kid would live in such destitution that it would better be off dead if it were born... No, you wouldn't be a good parent. So why you don't remove it altogether and just rely on abortion as an overtime contraceptive is beyond me. Because you know that it is alive, but you just don't care. That's simply wicked. In fact, your comment is nothing more than sheer classicism which implies that poor kids don't live a life worth living and are better off dead. That is literally the implication of your reasoning.

The comparisons aren't valid and I've demonstrated why. And when it comes to privileges, yes I am aware that I cannot carry the child. But just like the Rawlsian thought experiment, I would carry the kid if I could. Find a way to transplant my girlfriend's into my stomach once the science allows it and I would be more than happy to give my all for my child. It indeed takes two to tango which is why I would also support a strict policy against deadbeats, The dads aren't getting off easy. And women also have privileges. They win most custody cases, men are often being told by their lawyers to not even fight the case because she will win it anyway. And when abortion is legal, women get 100% of the say and men absolutely nothing. "It takes two to tango" only comes around when it's time to collect child support money. But when it concerns abortion it's "my uterus my opinion". Again, it's getting close to double-standards golddigger territory.

And those women are notdefending their rights. It's not your right to kill someone. It's like saying we shouldn't hate the KKK when they get angry that we outlawed their right to lynch. If you truly want to defend your rights to not get children, go demonstrate against doctors who refuse to perform hysterectomies on young women.
