[uj] So.../r/movies is just openly racist now? [/uj] Wares Al Sharpton, huh?! Where is heeeeeee?!?!?

I disagree, I've seen many people on facebook posting under the sjw banner who have a real social disconnect from reality. All of these people belong to the middle upper class and above they will all go to college and some of them will probably be the decision makers in the future. They adopt attitudes and beliefs that are aren't relevant in our country and state them as if they're the real big social problems of our time, recently I've seen 3 people post about how people wearing the bindi who aren't Hindu's is a symbol of white oppression and a huge mark of racism in our country and needs to be eradicated (most people know you're a gobshite if you wear a bindi for completely stylistic reasons). Or the problems with racism in our police force (which some people actually believe is as bad as the American police force). There's a time and a place for those debates definitely, but none of these people actually want to discuss the major issues of inequality in our country the countless people who will not get the same education as them or the same opportunities in life. The "white privilege" thing is really bad though because there seems to be no acceptance of the fact that the people making these arguments aren't only privileged by the fact that they're white but also by the fact that they're very wealthy, they seem to believe that there's a large history of persecution of other races here when really only us Irish ourselves were persecuted by the British empire and the small Jewish community had to deal with some awful pogroms.

I have no problem with people calling themselves "social justice warriors" but if you are going to call yourself that you damn well better talk about the major social issues that plague your country .
