UK Baby Boomers are £78,000 wealthier than people the same age a decade ago were, Financial Conduct Authority analysis of official data shows. Meanwhile every age cohort under the age of 60 is less wealthy than the previous one was ten years ago, it showed.

At what point do we stop attacking boomers with nasty names like vampires and just recognize that it was the state of things at the time?

My parents were born in the early 50s, and they were living in the world the best way they knew how, just like us. Money was valued differently, but it wasn't intentionally malicious. My parents didn't set out to destroy opportunity for their kids. And neither did yours.

We try and make our parents feel bad about themselves for a world they didn't create. They only lived in it and worked with what they have, just like us.

Demonizing an older generation is just as ignorant as boomers insulting millenials for their imposed stereotypes.
