UK diagnosis

i put in a request on the DRIQ app saying i believed i had adhd and what a mess my life basically was then requested if i could be seen for an ADHD diagnosis —> this then took 1/2 days and the app responded with the usual “your clinician from your GP will contact you” —> they normally call then within the same day, at the most two, i can’t remember this next part exactly but when i just went on the app to check, one of my “closed cases” was for the ADHD request and the dr had sent me a few pdfs of questions that i had to tick the answer to and send back (i just did this all on my phone using the edit mode and selecting a pen/highlighter to tick the boxes as found it quicker personally) —> this is now when you will receive a letter sometime that week letting you know of when your appointment is, mine ended up being a 6th month wait and as frustrated as i was initially when reading that, i realised well i have gone a lot of years, what’s six more months. —> you then meet on zoom with a psychiatrist where they will interview you for around 2hr can be more i think in some cases. (normally you would go in person but because of covid it’s done over webcam however rules could be different depending where you are based)(—> the psychiatrist will then either inform you immediately after they feel satisfied they have asked you everything and know for certain if they are going to diagnose you, or not. however sometimes they need to take some extra time to review their notes before giving a diagnosis which was like my case. this all happened for me november 2020 and i got diagnosed may of this year after waiting a few days after the interview for my diagnosis!
