UK expels 23 Russian diplomats, Russian state assets to be frozen as well. More sanctions being announced at 19.00 tonight

That said where were we (UK) when Russia had been propping up the Syrian regime after chemical weapon attacks, and military action in Ukraine which also lead to the downing of the Malaysian airliner MH17 and the deaths of 298 innocents?

As a Brit I'm very happy we're finally taking action and it would be great if all our allies could support us with ideally more than just words off a greeting card, but we can't complain too much seeing as we were just as reluctant to take action against Russia until it was our own backyard.

Rings a little of "First they came..."

In the same vein, I do believe we should be doing something about our interactions with Saudi Arabia too. But it is nice to see that Theresa May is willing to take a string stance internationally (and sad to see that Corbyn seems to think we should always try and take the most polite approach with any enemy).
