[UK] Fiesta ST Loses Control and Crashes

That's certainly an interesting perspective. My take: S2A - Dangerous/Reckless driving (no contest) S143 - I can assure you no sane insurance company would deem that car roadworthy given the impact. Insurer would likely claim they were not covered from anytime after the accident. S148 - Large amount of mud/debris left on road (potential for a S161 if someone had a prang within half a mile) S170 - Crashing into a hedgerow, especially that close to a powerline, would qualify.

Lastly yes, dashcam footage is (subjectively) acceptable evidence. However building a case on just the footage is not enough unless the video itself is considered prominently in public interest. Without being able to identify and confirm the driver/date/time it wouldn't make it very far. This is usually why you see so many dashcam videos being reported to the police with no outcome; either its not significantly in the public interest to use the resources, or any officer who's been to the courts would know exactly how a case without positive identification would pan out.
