UK start up Space Forge to launch satellite that manufactures diamond in space

Not a big fan of the video (just stock footage with no actual association with what he's talking about) but the theories behind that statement are:

  • Processes that need a vacuum can achieve this using less energy.
  • Processes that need to be very cool can achieve this using less energy.
    • Personal note, I thought it was actually more difficult to cool in space because heat transfer is slower in a vacuum?
  • Processes that need large temperature variation can take advantage of the temperature difference between sun facing and not sun facing sides of a satellite

I don't have a lot of faith in the content creator actually understanding what is going on versus monetizing press releases.
