Ukip on track for 100-plus second places across England

Which is why the French, Irish, Germans and any other EU students can get free tuition in Scotland but the English are specifically excluded?

There's nothing "anti-English" about that. EU law says that Scotland must give free tuition to EU students, but that law does not apply to English students. I'm sure, if they could, they'd like to charge EU students, but that would be illegal.

Also, I've heard many stories from my friend...

Anecdotes are anecdotes. And yeah, that applies to my anecdotes, as well. But for every anti-English comment you can find online, you can find an Anti-Scots comment just as vile. Have a look at the comment section of any national newspaper reporting on any Scottish issue if you want to see what I mean.

I think England should have it's own devolution, England as a whole and not some artificial "regions" which are an exercise in Labour gerrymandering.

I absolutely agree that England should have it's own parliament. I don't think anyone up here would disagree with that, either. I've never seen anyone calling an English person a racist scumbag for suggesting England needs devolution. Most Scottish nats I've talked to on here and in RL would like to see a federalised UK (if not full independence) where each country has as much devolution as possible. Nobody disagrees with that.

The Conservative and Unionist party is nationalist now?

The amount of "Britain is great! The UK is strong and Scotland would be weak and you should stick with us because we're great", the amount of flag-waving, yeah, they are Nationalists, too.

It's extremely bigoted to say it's morally acceptable for some nations to express nationalism but not others

Again, there are different kinds of nationalism. Surely you can see that the kind of nationalism that the SNP promotes (Scotland can be a success on it's own, Scotland can run it's own affairs) is different from the kind of nationalism that, say, the BNP espouse (Get rid of immigrants, Britain for the Real British, &c). Civic nationalism vs Ethnic nationalism.

Now, I am in no way saying you can't be proud of your country. I love the UK, I've been here 16 years, and am thankful for all the opportunities it's provided. I love England, I spent most of my time there, and it's a great country. You (I presume) are English, and you have every right to be proud of that fact. It's how you (or the Scots) act on that patriotism that matters.
