War is not cool, but sanctions are going to make russians starve while the elite won't be bothered cause they were ready for the fall of ruble since Putin came to power and they're his friends. No matter how "elite" focused the sanctions are, they're going to gut the russian people who didn't have the best economic situation anyway. Everyone knows that Putin doesn't have much support from people, but he has military and all the people in high places are his friends so he can do whatever he wants, he can send police/military to the protests beat up people jail them etc etc and people outside of ru will just say that "Russia bad" and "Slava Ukraineh" yeah, the situation is fucked up, but what about the people who are literally not involved in anyway getting fucked by everyone? I'm not even sure russian people can leave the country now, i've seen comments of people saying some embassies closed and they couldn't go study in another country etc. Fucked up is what it is.
