Ultra-Orthodox Anti-Zionist Jews Held an Israeli Flag Burning Protest in North London Yesterday | VICE | United Kingdom

I just think this tid-bit is interesting.

  • They are considered radical fundamentalists, but are not supporting violence, they are simply trying to be peaceful, and protest against violence in general. Their religion does dictate their opinion but is no promoting war or rights to land.

  • I would say claiming rights to land, that you claim your ancestors lived on, based on knowledge obtained from religious texts, the same land currently inhabited by others, is not really fair. At least you could share but I don't think either side is 100% on board with that nor will their be a time in the near future that will be.

  • Not all religious fundamentalists are bad, the article states mainstream Jewish people are afraid of the spread of anti-semitism. But while staying away from the word, I think Zionism is a polarizing topic it means different things to different people even within the same religion. I don't think people will be out for blood against all Jews, I certainly do not harbor hate for any particular group of people myself, and although i know some people do. I think those with enough reason can see Humanity in a peaceful middle-ground.

  • Some radical fundamentalists even include the Amish, but even they do not represent the entire religion, but they are peaceful and keep to themselves. Even if they did not keep to themselves they would still strive to be peaceful.

= My end point is any ideology related to religion or not, that promotes hate, violence, and the idea of "my rights trump yours" is wrong. Let those ideas die and move on to more modern ideas about how to make humanity more harmonious. Or choose to live in exile, peaceful exile. Most likely if peace is preserved, no one rocks the boat so to speak, people can live together.

P.S. just my two cents, but by all means feel to point out how my opinion is invalid because your opinion is right lol
