I think you’ve missed the point of what my man is saying. Being punished by losing valuable items in a game like tarkov is very different from, hypothetically, having to wait for 2 or more minutes to respawn.

One is an actual tangible risk that makes the game more fun, the other is boring, literally not allowing you to play the game. What my dude is saying is that a game should be fun or else people will leave. People play the binding of Isaac because it’s punishing, but the punishment doesn’t restrict your fun. If you had to wait even 30 seconds to start another run in Isaac it would be infuriating instead of addictive

And I think there should be a long wait to respawn, it adds weight to your actions, and makes you value your life more. But I don’t think you can compare that, realistically, to what you’re saying about tarkov
