My wife doesn't work, I have paid pretty much for everything last 5+ years or so. Our finances are separate, but she has savings in several millions because I have gifted her assets in the past. We have prenup , but I gifted her assets that if something happens the situation should be either way good for her as well, mostly I want our kids life to be financially secured in every scenario.

Initially I felt quite bad with the situation, as I thought life is supposed to be "fair" and everyone has to work hard for their own living. However at some point I just stopped caring. Now I just spend money on whatever makes me happy, and one thing that makes me happy is closed ones having financially more secure life.
