Yes, that is what I mean. Maybe we have a police state/country then, but here are some facts:
The police here shoot a few rounds a year total and very rarely kill people as it is strictly controlled when they may use lethal force.
We have something like 1% of the murder and rape of that in the USA per amount of population.
I have never been searched by the police, I have never seen a robbing or stabbing occur, my life has never been threatened. Same goes for pretty much everyone I know. I'm 27 and have lived in a poor neighbourhood as well as the capital, so my life hasn't been too sheltered compared to the average.

Again I'm not saying this could be achieved in the USA by banning guns, but if you can't see my perspective then that just proves my original point.
