Uninsurance and Support for Obamacare [OC]

"If you read my link you'd know that "The combined payments of Medicare and Medicaid, $602 billion in 2004,[4] or roughly 44% of all medical expenditures in the U.S., make not participating in EMTALA impractical for nearly all hospitals." But even if that wasn't true it would be irrelevant. You get hurt and your're unconscious, someone finds you and calls an ambulance, they take you to a public hospital and they try and save your life, they might not know who you are, they might not know if you have insurance or any money, but they do everything they can to save your life. That is insurance, someone has to pay for that. If you are uninsured and you pay a fine, that is what the fine is paying for."

Which means 44% of people can't afford to pay what they owe, which is fucking sad.

"It's statistically impossible to provide public education to all children without sinking other people's money into it. It's statistically impossible to have a powerful military without sinking other people's money into it. It's statistically impossible to run prisons without sinking other people's money into it. It's statistically impossible to support these people, except we are supporting them, and so is nearly every other first world country. You already are paying for it, and you've been paying for it for a long time. In comes in the form of payroll taxes, and sales taxes, and income taxes, etc. Public hospitals often receive public money at the city, county, and state level too. You live in this country, you are going to pay for other people's stupid decisions. You really need to come out in opposition to all forms of welfare, then you would at least be consistent. The medical system was already unsustainable by your reasoning. If anything ACA has made the system more sustainable not less."

ACA has made an unsustainable business sustainable by forcing everyday people to pay into it. That's not fair, that's communism.

"It doesn't sound like you understand it at all. It sounds like you are biased." Damn right im biased, I prefer that people take the smart route and pay for what they can afford.

"Your debt to society is not a dollar amount." My debt to society is exactlty measured in dollar amounts.

"Ayn Rand is that you? Only 5% of the country works? Or only 5% of people try at life? Or don't tell me 95% are failures and 5% are relatively successful. Yea your worldview isn't distorted at all/s"

You've obviously never had the privilege of being educated at a decent institution, so let me enlighten you: The most intelligent and motivated 5% of people are what drive this planet. Your average Joe working at Sunshare or Ace Hardware does not contribute to the progress of human kind, they maintain it at best. You and the other 95% are tagging along for the ride.

"Thanks for your life story man. I didn't ask for that, but it was a nice read. Maybe you can write a book to motivate the worthless 95% of us who drag you down. I think that's the problem with democracy though no? The 95% will always drag the rest down when they have political power/s"

Learn to spell brah.
