Not too shabby for an organization that produces nothing to earn a profit and survives totally by feeding off the private sector for money in the form of taxes.

Federal government workers perform countless vital tasks that are used, without charge, by countless businesses. Fuck, I used to be a commercial fisherman - nothing more private sector than pulling your pay straight from the ocean, right - and we depended on the feds for weather reports, enforcement of laws including keeping other nations from fishing our fish in our waters or the high seas, saving us when we were in trouble, etc.
