Universal Basic Income: Why Elon Musk Thinks It May Be The Future - “There will be fewer and fewer jobs that a robot cannot do better.”

I am still on the opinion that UBI could have unintended consequences and disrupt certain things. But that being said if automation takes pace in what I believe it will. It will become mandatory.

The reason I believe this is I am sorta seeing it in some industries. As a millwright... and as someone who is trying to become a Engineer with a automation major (Still a long ways away from this lol)

It's the little things... but I actually scene self driving forklift (They follow a line on the path. And follow orders. So less forklift drivers will be needed...

I also seeing bar-code recognition and scanning device (Scans the shape of the device) This tech is in its infancy. It's capable of ordering based on specification.

There are even HR automation I heard of... but that isn't my area of knowledge. Every Mcdonalds I see here has those automated tellers machines.

The local bottle depot has a automated cashier. Every bank related thing is slowly becoming automated. I can even cash cheques without anyone.
