The Universe is Contacting, not expanding.

I'm not overturning any observations. I'm telling you how to correctly interpret them. The observations of 1SA Supernovas show that the objects in the Universe are acquiring kinetic energy. It has nothing to do with accelerating expansion. Indeed, expansion should cause all massive objects in the Universe to slow down.

Believing that most of the Universe is comprised of some mysterious unknown energy is illogical, whether you want to acknowledge it or not. It is essentially a fudge factor that lets all of the models work but that has no reality. For all we know about it, dark energy is indistinguishable from magic.

Why would you want to believe in dark energy, if you don't have to?

Why are you and most humans so conceited that you believe the Universe can expand around you without changing you? We don't observe the universe from some outside perch with God. We are an integral part of the Universe. The space we are in is not special in anyway and cannot be immune to the expansion or contraction of the Universe. Draw a picture on a balloon and blow it up and watch what happens to the picture. The balloon doesn't only expand where no pictures are drawn. Indeed, the pictures expand the same as the rest of the balloon. The Universe is like the surface of a balloon where time is the radius. When the Universe/balloon contracts, we contract because we are an integral part of the Universe. The distance vectors from our eye to our foot changes at the same relative rate as the distance vector from our eye to a distant galaxy cluster. All space in the universe is equivalent and it all changes the same. However, the emitted photons from a galaxy stay the same size they were when they were emitted.

However, I do realize that nothing I say is likely to change your mind. Eventually, you will see the light and that is fine. Science is built on skepticism.
