You don't have to be able to physically function to access consciousness. It would stand to reason the younger you are the closer you would be to the truth, an infant is 100% innocent, they haven't had a chance to be brainwashed with society standards of what is and isn't socially acceptable, including telepathic ability.

You may not remember them, but every single child on this planet has had psychic abilities, the younger these children are the stronger their energy is. We kill that in children when we train them of what is and isn't acceptable. Fortunately we are leaning to a world where it's more acceptable to be an authentic human vs a machine without feelings.
