University of Kansas vs Georgia Tech: Computer Science

I'll try not to be prescriptive like everyone else, but give you things to think about.

GT is a top 10 CS school. Many graduates go to top tech companies and they apparently have the program you want (institute of robotics).

KU is a top 100 CS school. Do top tech companies recruit there? What companies do KU CS graduates go to work for?

I've worked for many tech companies (including FAANG) and have a large linkedin network. I have 20+ GT grads in my network and only 1 KU (which was a degree in business).

Would it be worth $135K to you if it gave you a better shot at top company internships and the job you want after graduating?

It also is worth trying to estimate lifetime financial impact. Just using the median starting salaries, your lifetime earnings from GT would be almost $2 million more. (Assumptions for calculation: 2%/year raise, working from age 21 to age 70. Plug in your own numbers and draw your own conclusions).

Hope that helps. It's a tough decision.
