The University of Texas at Austin will now allow handguns in classrooms

Excellect. Now can he do tgst from the sitting position? No, no he cant.

I'm impressed with your resume.

I'm not in college nor was I young when I was carrying on campus.

just becaujse somebody is on reddit doesn't mean they don't have skills.

I, too, am on Reddit.

Useless? Dead? LOL!

Let me see if I can help you. My bag was at my right arm. The pouch holding my gun was in the front of my bag. My hand was less than 1 foot from the zipper of the pouch. If, on the otherhand, I was doing as you advised the gun would be tucked under my shirt and behind the armrest of the chair. Accordingly, I would have to half stand up just to get the gun out of the holster. Not something I would do in an active shooter situation; counterintuitive and against survival instinct. That also makes me a more obvious target than all the people on the ground.

So, to recap, it would be much more difficult to pull the gun from my waistband than it would from my bag which is sitting next to me.

I just tried it sitting at my desk and I'm not getting to "2 Mississippi" opening my zipper and reaching in. It's one movement of one arm. But trying to get it out of my pants sure is a chore, requiring both hands my whole body has to move and the opportunity to snag all the way. Not even close.

Why on earth would I leave my gun? That makes zero sense. I would give a flat zero fucks what my school would do to me if someone started shooting in the building.

You don't know what gets people killed or you would have immediately identified that it would be second nature to dive to the floor if someone came in shooting. You have no clue what you're talking about.
