Because I think gun control is only one part of a holistic solution to interrelated problems.

Once again: I agree that violent videogames demonstrably do not increase violent tendencies. But. That's incredibly narrow, and the effects of a culture that romanticizes violence across mediums may have ramifications that aren't as well understood. Does that overarching culture shape how individuals with violent tendencies approach problems?

If we stopped broadly glorifying violence as a solution (or just for its own sake), would that have an impact on, say, rates of domestic violence?

Of course I want better gun control. But that doesn't mean shootings are the only thing I'm concerned about.
