Unjerk Thread of August 15, 2020

(A repost of my comment in the previous unjerk thread, because I wrote it on a bad time, just before it closed.)

Just beat the Bounty of Blood DLC in Borderlands 3 with my buddy. What happened next is a bit of an exageration in terms of my own thoughts, but all those comments I'm referencing are full on, copy/pasted actual comments I found on r/borderlands3

"Man that was a neat DLC, and Juno was a pretty cool character as well. A bit surprised she was so tall and muscular, honestly thought she was a guy at first, but ehh, I'm fine with it. Maybe she's trans or something? Now lets see what others think of her on Reddit. No way this could be bad, right?"

The literal first Reddit thread I find

What the hell is up with Juno?

Just started playing DLC 3 and ran into Juno. What's up with her voice? It doesn't match her at all, and she doesn't even look like a woman, she looks like a fully built man. Not even just muscular woman, like she has a man's face, but she sounds like a girl? And the voice acting isn't really even that good on her. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this explained later on in the DLC? I'd love to hear your guy's thoughts

"Hmm, alright not bad so far? Maybe a bit too optimistic but I think OP means well. Just surprised and confued. Now lets see what the comments say."

How Juno looks is just more woke crap. Nothing more than a token for "diversity". But it's not only how she looks. When you start the DLC the quest giver is a guy, the sheriff at that point but he gets killed off almost immediately. Just another incompetent man, right?. And who takes over ? Juno. The guy, from a storytelling point of view, is absolutely irrelevant. He does nothing. You don't care he dies because you don't know him. The story could have started with Juno as sheriff from the very beginning and it would have been the same. But they wanted to show how a stupid man screws up, gets himself killed and, obviously, gets replaced by a woman who gets the job done.

That was top comment.

Well get ready OP, you're about to be destroyed by virtue signaling redditors.

Yeah it's in my game too. Could be a bug, like the skin of a different character is applied to the wrong model or it could be intentional. If it is intentional Gearbox should look at their other women in the game (or trans women if that's what they're trying to go for with Juno) and maybe redesign her, because no way you cut it, that's a masculine man's design.

Neil Druckman has a thing against the "normal" kind of sex appeal on women. He has literally spoke out against sex appeal on women in general and in video games. He did not create Abby to just have a muscular woman, he did so because he shames the figures and normality of what our society sees as sexy. He would rather flip the tables and create a new normal of what you see in characters like Abby and dismiss the previous as it doesn't fit his viewpoint. It's also worth noting the guy is a hardcore feminist and yet he bullied a writer out of their position and you know the irony of that.? It was a woman. The dude has spent much time speaking out against many body types that don't fit his icon of "normal" In short, these people who create this shit are not actually out for representation. It's virtue signaling with the attempt at manipulating weak willed people to shame people who have different views/appearances in order to flip the tables and create a new normal.

A bit of a dig against Neil Druckman because... why the hell not?

"We need more women in games." Randy Bitchford," hey, make the Bill characters a chick." Dev," So...completely redesign that model?" Bitchford," nope, just give him/her a girls voice, we can get points for having a her/he/it characture, it will show how woke we are."

"Welp, why the fuck did I expect any better?"
