Haven’t read that, but I read IT recently after watching the 2017 remake and the original (great films) last year and I finished it last month. Don’t get me wrong I love SK and all, but i feel like he could’ve cut like 300 pages from IT, because a there were some really unnecessary and boring parts. The book was great, but the exciting parts were really good and fun to read, and when it got boring, it felt like a chore to finish. It’s a great read though.

I’m reading Duma Key on the other hand, and I feel like it more enjoyable so far. The protagonist is pretty relatable/sympathetic, the writing is better this time around and it’s a good read. Plus I just love beach horror.

Still, my favourite all time book series has to be Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the writing is excellent, diversity of the characters is great, and references/ foreshadowing to future books is really well done.

Btw I’ve actually been to Monte Cristo in Australia, and it was a pretty freaky experience. Still I enjoy reading, and unlike games I don’t feel like throwing my book against the wall every half and hour because I die or fuck up (looking at you soulsborne).
