Unjerk Thread of May 13, 2020

I'm not doubting the realness of the UE5 demo or any of the tech behind it. But it's annoying to see how hyped up people get about how next gen will really work.

It's a tech demo and it was specifically made to show stuff off. Every unreal engine tech demo looks much better than the games made on it because they are perfectly manicured slices using every trick that the engine offers. The labor put into making that demo probably rivals the time put into making whole levels or towns in games.

I'm not mad at the 13 year olds who are wowed and don't know better, but the 30 year old commentators who really should know better than to jump up and down any time a building falls down.
