I've been playing through Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 over the past 2 weeks and I genuinely can't understand how someone could ever think 1 is better than 2. Chris Avellone's writing skills are just so far beyond any thing Bioware has ever had.

The moment it really struck me how poor the dialogue and characters in 1 was when Malak literally stops his dead in his tracks, turns around, and then says "Soon they will see the true power of the Star Forge! HAHAHAHAHA!". He might as well be twirling his mustache as he's saying it. Compare that to any thing that Traya says throughout the entirety of 2 and Bioware ends up looking like they're for a high school play.

It feels like comparing Bob Dylan to Bon Jovi.
