Unmarked graves were documented years ago but most of us looked away

Huh? That doesn't even make sense. That could be used to say that literally every single thing that has ever happened must be normal. What even is abnormal to you, if only normal things can happen?

Abnormal would being doing something that isn't considered normal at the time of occurrence, it's simple. In 1907 we had just finished slaughtering tens of thousands of native-americans and had several other colonization projects just coming to a close all around the world along with many other countries. Conquering land from weaker peoples has always been normal until very, very recently. Stop projecting your modern morality onto the past. Colonization is really, really awful for native peoples - but the settlers were not evil, they were just doing what was normal.

I'm sorry you have little to no empathy for other people and are so shook by any change to the status quo that you will fight and argue and shake your fist at people just trying to make the world more inclusive and positive.

Having empathy doesn't change my logical reaction to the situation. What happened to native-americans throughout 400 years of colonization was horrible for them, that doesn't mean that John A. Macdonald was evil. He was perfectly normal by the standards of his time.

Just like you're normal for eating farmed meat even though in 100 years it might be considered unthinkable.
