Unpopular Opinion: Jordan Peterson is a Dangerous Thought Criminal

I don't agree entirely, I think he was a good guest, I think some of the what he had to say was interesting. You kinda attacked the guy personally which I guess is a bit of a dick move but whatever. I don't think he claimed any ideas were his except the "clean your room" bit. If you didn't allow other psychologists to integrate unoriginal ideas into their ideas/lectures/talks, this episode would have been about 20 minutes long. Also, he may not be a genius, saviour of our generation, like some alt-right people seem to think, but the guy's clearly intelligent enough to comprehend, memorise, and coherently string together quite a few ideas to support his point of view.

My main problem is with the entire field of psychology, it seems like bullshit that you can boil something as complex as a human down to 5 personality types, an IQ, and whatever else someone hypothesised then quantified using their again bullshit method. Nah fuck that, I don't care how strong the correlation is between 2 arbitrary factors.

Regarding him being afraid, I have no idea if it's justifiable. I can't tell if 'libruls' are complaining about systematic oppression when it's mostly just a small group of racist people, or if in fact the 'libruls' in just a tiny group and people like Peterson and Milo are creating a following of people who want their opinions to be reaffirmed. If Peterson is hypothetically 100% correct though then maybe he should be afraid, this will get out of hand, he'll assume someone's gender, lose his job and all his money, his wife will leave him and barbarians will eat his dog. Or maybe something less severe. Either way we should all be a little cautious about what's going to happen, the law is bullshit sometimes, you can't smoke weed if you move 100 miles left or right in the same country and you can't drink till your 21, it's just stupid and appeals to some small group of complainers/voters.

Sry for ramblin
