Unpopular opinion: Stop bragging about how fast you speed ran your WGU degree

I think if you already have the "skills" speedrunning would be fine, especially if your company is just waiting on that degree so you can get promoted. This is the deal at my company. I just need a degree so I can get promoted from web dev to SWE.

However, I always create projects on the side after speedrunning through a course, or even prep for a cert, since I am aware I will forget what I learned. So just depends.

If you don't have work experience in the field you are trying to go into, I suggest not speed running for sure or at least being able to practice what you learned on a daily basis after passing your OA. Just expecting a piece of paper to get you through an interview clearly doesn't work in tech.
