bro have you ever met someone from the middle east or turkey . have you ever met a Greek person. there are plenty of dark skinned people as well but, but what Americans tend to forget is that people look different in different countries in the middle and that generally the gulf states and Afghanistan are darker skinned. while what you said is true to an extent I think your ignoring the fact the most Turkish people and many middle eastern people are conventially considered white and look white. having paler skin was a sign of beauty but that doesn't mean that's the explantion for the skin tone of people in portrait, instead of feeding him false information that agrees with your narrative about middle eastern people and Greek people I'd recommend looking into demographics, genealogy and history more
