'Untethered' Air Force general: ‘When you kill your enemy, every part of your life is better'

People are so far removed from MADD they don’t know what a nuclear war would do to the world. There’s only ever been one “actual” conflict between two nuclear-capable countries and partly because Pakistan said they believed they needed to use the weapons they made.

After being in 10+ years, the things that don’t apply “warheads to foreheads” are where we lack and that’s what we need for conflicts with bigger, nuclear nations.

We also don’t want aggressive politics head butting aggressive politics. Had India not had the upper hand and then backed down, their small spat could’ve screwed us all. We don’t know what nuclear war would do to the world.

It’s why rhetoric like this I fear, it’s more dangerous to us than it is to them. We have much more to lose.
