this is unthinkable today

For real.

My great grandma left my grandparents her house, my grandparents left my parents 2 houses, in addition to my great grandma's house.

My parents already owned 2 houses cause they got divorced and then remarried.

I got a job in my mom's office at 18 after taking the GED and demonstrating I had enough PC knowledge to at least work on the help desk, and was trained by our IT manager, then took over at 24, making nearly 100k a year and having nearly no living expenses cause we had 5 fucking houses.

It was a tiny office of 30 people, I barely had to work more than 10 hours of actual work a week, and I didn't have to work at all to get the job.

We sold all the houses and moved (back, in my dad's case) to Germany and bought two houses outright, one of which we're renting until my sister decides if she wants to move here or not.

I've never had to suffer for a goddamn thing in my life, and you better believe I treat my friends to fucking everything I can get away with.

The worst thing about my life is that I have to take care of my dying dad for the next few years, and then keep my mom company.

That guy needs a reality check, because he does not live in the reality anyone middle class or below lives in.
