Until what age is 'okay' to live with your parents in US?

Thats true but if you were talking about that being the norm long long ago does it really matter that I am younger than you? Does that invalidate my experience somehow?

I meant that we moved out and were expected to move out. Though I forgot to mention that my parents separated so we both left our mom around 16. My Dad I ended up staying with when I was struggling a little but it was heavily stigmaized back then.. so even though I did stay with family after 18 I wouldn't say it was common or expected. I got a lot of grief from neighbors, friends and random strangers. It was less stigmaized when I told them I had broke my arm but even then it was easier not to bring it up.
