Unvaccinated workers who lose jobs ineligible for EI benefits, minister says

That's not at all what I asked.

My dad is a union stewart for a large company and a big issue they're dealing with right now is people being forced to get vaccinated or get fired.

Having dealt with a lot of these issues as unions protect workers as much as they legally can, it's an overwhelming amount of people that aren't acting from a selfish or "fuck society" place. They are genuinely terrified that they're going to get incredibly sick, adverse health effects or die. This isn't an issue that can be easily fixed and requires some level of empathy and education.

I have three people in my immediate family that developed severe and lasting effects after getting the vaccine, which happens but the doctors that are treating them made them all sign forms that are saying the vaccine was absolutely not responsible for what's happening (blood clots, weird issues with nerves and ligaments).

I've got both shots and I'm planning on getting the booster, but I've never begruded people for not getting the vaccine if they are scared of the health effects.

But I guess you're okay with just taking the approach of "fuck everyone who doesn't get the shot". Seems like a very simplistic world view.
