I'm not against coitus or adult talking between parents and children. Simply, thinking too much(as OP said/planning to do, buying and suggesting condom) goes a bit over the line. Try to think from a teen perspective (your mom's trying to find a right size condom for you). Somethings are better if we do ourselves( teens now have all this technology at their disposal). Great thing OP found condoms (kid's into safe sex, not into diseases) STDs are skyrocketing among children and elders. We don't know his measurements and neither do the OP, so we cannot do much(condom too tight, it breaks boom unwanted pregnancy, condom a little large, it slips off boom pregnancy). Only the child can help himself. And that's why letting him find on his own will be good.

This community can help alot if OP directs her child here, because telling my mom my exact size or "condom's too tight" is awkward.
