Dude seriously, I know there is a such thing as opposite sex (or gender attracted?) best friends, but in my (and friends') experience dating a straight guy with a female best friend has been one disaster after another. Nope, they're not all "crazy" and nope, they don't all want to fuck the guy. Actually the majority just didn't like giving up the attention of being "the woman" in his life. The few remaining are delightful women that like the guy as a legit friend. Regardless I will never put myself in that position again. Will I miss out in great guys? Probably. Will I have to worry how "best friends' (I personally want my SO's best friend after a time),.nope. just my experience
