UPDATE: Delegation Analysis for Epoch 212 (for d=0.8)

And taking too long leads to failure. This is a high technology sector with dozens of others competing for adoption. ADA looks like it is about to drop down to 11th again. This is 2.5 weeks since shelley and in that time since the high on 26th July all it has done is drop 10% while the rest of the market has ripped 30%+...and yet its cardano that has had the major milestone in that time. It is once again underperforming the rest of the market just like it has done for most of the last 2 years where it dropped from 5th to about 16th simply because every time the market dropped, it dropped more, and every time it rallied, it rallied less. This is exactly what it is doing once again, despite shelley and despite a nailed on coinbase listing coming before long (which must be priced in by now) and despite the entire market moving up significantly, it has still dropped since shelley. That is the absolute exact opposiute of what it should be doing if the market had any faith in it at all. The only reason I can think of that the market has no faith in it is purely that they are simply far too slow, plodding along dotting every i and crossing every T while everyone else just gets on with it.

All the research etc is well and good but they take it to extremes and this d parameter is a perfect example of it. After a 6 month testnet that went perfectly well and demonstrated it would work just fine, after over 1000 live stake pools got up and running within 2 weeks, they are still faffing about reducing d at snails pace when it should be at zero already. And good lord they were planning on taking it down to only 0.875?!?!? They have already proven IT WORKS so get the hell on with it.

So yeah, safe, solid, backed by research...and obsolete before anyone even uses it because it doesn't get the adoption. Perhaps not perfect comparisons but Betamax vs VHS. Betamax had the better tech, VHS got the adoption, Betamax become obsolete. HD-DVD vs Bluray, HD-DVD was the better tech, Bluray got the adoption, HD-DVD became obsolete.

As for triple posting, I think you'll find problems with reddit servers and errors showing up saying something wasn't posted, when it apparently was, are more likely to lead to double and triple posts. It isn't possible to post the same thing 3 times at all unless reddit is playing up because pressing the save button closes the window....unless reddit is playing up at the time and spitting out internal server error 500's...like it was yesterday. It's quite a common problem judging by the number of double and triple posts I see being made. You should learn how posting works before making comments that make you look silly.
