I completely relate to the whole “teaching me a lesson” and to “show me”.. my mom recently said that I need to show her respect and love for her to communicate with me, which is actually obedience. The gaslighting from them is off the charts, she turned it on full blast with the regifting of the bracelet! My sister is on board with my mom as well since she is just as spiteful. This is the third holiday that my mom has been out of the picture and this one has been so peaceful, the other two were chaotic and insane like yours has been. I feel a huge relief that I’ve let it all go and can deal with life if she, and sister, is completely cut out of my life. Sending big support to you!!
