Update on Trying to Plan a Date with a Single Mother (Spoiler: It Didn't End Well)

Hate to say it, but I feel like single parents (especially of younger children) best chances are to stay in their own lane and just date other single parents if they're looking for something serious, because as you pointed out, a long-term commitment is asking for A LOT from someone who has never had a child. This parent they made that child with is always going to be in their family pictures during the kids' milestones, while you always have to stand in the background . If the kids are older, I guess that's a little different, but this woman's kid was just entering elementary school. That's a lot of milestone moments going forward someone dating this woman has to deal with.

I actually blocked her because she made me feel guilty for desiring someone's fuller attention, as if her lack of availability was my fault.
