A UPS delivery guy keeps on doing his job, not minding the attacked Twin Towers behind him.

UPS once made one delivery attempt to my apartment after two expected delivery date reschedules. They marked it as "incomplete address" in the tracker and put a note saying it would be returned to the sender (in a different country). I got our front camera security footage for the 48 hours prior, no UPS truck to be seen. I asked the shipper if they had a picture of the parcel. Written in huge sharpie was my full address, complete with unit and buzzer code. I called UPS and asked what was missing. They said they were unable to contact the driver and that I could pick it up at a UPS sorting facility once it was located. Two weeks later it was marked as "available for pickup." I went across town to pick it up. The box had a huge dent and contained a well packed broken guitar. I also had to pay a $95 "brokerage fee" on top of the ~$130 sales tax despite the guitar being originally made in the US and requiring no customs paperwork or duties of any type.

Since then, I have actively avoided any sellers who use UPS. I would rather have my package dragged on a rope behind a truck or stuck with gum to the wing of a plane. I would settle for the sender getting their feeblest family member to just throw it as hard as they can from their front door.

There are several terrifying combinations of words in the English language. Words that inspire terror, fear, anxiety. Words that open the mind to all sorts of terrifying possibilities, parallel nightmares realms of suffering and anguish.

Body found.

It's terminal.

Shipped UPS.
